VICTORIAN BUDGET 2016 – PLANNING AN EXCITING FUTURE FOR THE WESTALL SCHOOLS REGENERATION

Posted on 27. Apr, 2016 in Clayton Update

The Andrews Labor Government has again delivered for students, announcing planning funding for a potential new education precinct.

Member for Clarinda Hong Lim MP today announced the funds, which will go towards assessing the potential to create a new Westall Education Precinct. This could include the combination of the Westall Primary School and Secondary College.

Hong Lim MP said the detailed planning work was the first step in assessing the new precinct, and entrenching the collaboration between the schools, Kingston Council and the Colman Foundation on the future of the precinct.

By funding more planning, more upgrades and building more schools, the Labor Government is making Victoria the Education State.

The 2016/17 Victorian Budget includes $12 million for school planning across our state, with the Westall Education Precinct one of 34 projects to receive funding.
