On behalf of the Premier, it gives me great pleasure to wish all Muslims a Ramadan Mubarak during this holy month.
Ramadan is a time when Muslims around the world honour the traditions of Islam. It is a time to reflect on the universal themes of charity, empathy, selflessness and compassion.
Ramadan reaffirms the commitment to the Muslim message of self-sacrifice for the benefit of others, a message that resonates for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Our Muslim community continues to make a profound contribution to our diverse and cohesive society, and the teachings of Ramadan carry significance for all Victorians.
On behalf of the Premier and the Victorian Government, I wish everyone a happy and joyous Ramadan.
