CLAYTON ELECTORATE FAMILIES DESERVE MORE FROM BAILLIEU

The Baillieu Government has spent their first 100 days dithering, backflipping and breaking promises, Labor Member for Clayton Hong Lim said today.

“The Baillieu Government’s first 100 days have been disappointing and families in the Clayton electorate deserve more,” Mr Lim said.

“This is a Government that promised so much for Victorians but has spent the past three months performing cheap political stunts and acting like an Opposition in exile.

“They have dithered over every decision, failed to deliver on election commitments and now have been caught out deceiving teachers by failing to back a promise to make them the highest paid in Australia.”

Mr Lim said people in the electorate were waiting for Mr Baillieu to deliver on a range of local projects.

“Mr Baillieu promised to build the Monash Childrens Hospital and eliminate the Springvale level crossing but he is yet to deliver.”

Mr Lim said this was a Government too scared to make decisions.

“Before the election, the Coalition ran around the state making promise after promise, but failed to do the hard work to ensure they could deliver,” he said.

“In three months, Mr Baillieu has not made or changed one law. Instead, he has announced review after review, and broken promise after promise.

“It’s time the Government got on with the job they were elected to do – deliver on each and every one of their commitments.”
