VOTE LABOR

VOTE LABOR

Dear Voters,

Losing your job can be a shattering experience. Suddenly, you find yourself living day to day, not knowing if you will be able to make your house or car payments or even put food on the table for your family.

It’s not a feeling I’d wish upon anyone. Nor is it something I want to see affect hundreds, possibly even thousands of families in Victoria.

I’m not sure Ted Baillieu sees it that way.

Ted Baillieu and the Liberal Coalition have continually opposed the Brumby Labor Government’s efforts to create jobs in Victoria.

In Parliament, they opposed our investment in the biggest infrastructure program in the state’s history, at a time when we needed it the most. That investment saved thousands of jobs, but Mr Baillieu still won’t acknowledge it was the right thing to do.

Now, he’s telling us he’ll spend billions of dollars on projects and services across the state, but he won’t tell us where the money will come from. Past experience shows the Liberals will make up the shortfall by cutting services, selling schools and hospitals and cutting jobs

Ted Baillieu was the Party president when the Liberals were last in government and it was his company that sold schools and hospitals across Victoria.

We’ve just emerged from the worst global financial crisis since the Great Depression as one of the strongest economies in the world. Last year, more than half of Australia’s full-time jobs created in this State alone.

Now I am asking you to support Labor’s fully costed plan for the future. Ted Baillieu’s budget black holes could sink our economy and lead to thousands of people losing their jobs.

We can’t risk it. On 27 November, vote for the government who will continue to protect and create jobs – Vote Labor

Yours sincerely,

HONG LIM
