NEW JUNE TRAIN TIMETABLES

Posted on 18. May, 2010 in Clayton Update

To the city – morning peak

All times have been altered during the morning peak to introduce consistent stopping patterns.

•Metro will be adding 10 new morning peak services per week to the timetable to help alleviate overcrowding during the busiest hour (two additional city bound services each morning).
•Journey time will be reduced by up to five minutes due to the change in stopping patterns.
•For those travelling in to a destination of Malvern, Armadale, Toorak or Hawksburn, we advise you to interchange on to a Frankston service at Caulfield station.
•Most morning peak Pakenham trains will run express Dandenong – Noble Park, Sandown Park, Springvale – Clayton – Oakleigh – Caulfield – South Yarra and via the City Loop.
•Most morning peak Cranbourne, Berwick and Dandenong services will run express Caulfield – South Yarra and via the City Loop.

In the evening peak

•Metro will be adding 25 new evening peak services every week.

•Trains from the city will run express from South Yarra to Caulfield, so if you need to get to a destination of Hawksburn, Toorak, Armadale or Malvern, take a Frankston stopping all stations service from any city station.
•Most evening peak Pakenham services will run via the City Loop, Richmond and then express South Yarra – Caulfield – Oakleigh – Clayton – Springvale, Sandown Park, Noble Park – Dandenong and then stop all stations to Pakenham.
•Most evening peak Cranbourne, Berwick and Dandenong services will run via the City Loop, Richmond and then express South Yarra – Caulfield, then stop all stations to final destination.
For a copy of the new Pakenham/Cranbourne timetable pick one up at Springvale or Clayton station or check the timetable on the station walls for full details and remember to take note of stopping conditions.
