林美豐州議員舉辦第17屆克雷頓多元文化晚會 聯邦部長克林出席並作主旨發言 一年一度的維州多元文化盛事-克雷頓多元文化晚會於9月19號星期日在史賓威金輝大酒樓隆重舉行。和往年一樣,今年的晚會吸引了來自20多個不同種族,一百餘社團、企業等各界人士近550多位賓客。今年的特邀主講嘉賓是澳大利亞聯邦眾議院議員、聯邦文化部長及地區事務部長克林(Simon Crean)。其它嘉賓包括:澳大利亞聯邦議員博克、 聯邦議員格芬、 維州健康部長安德魯、 維州農業及小企業部長哈珀、 維州金融、水利及旅遊業部長候丁、 維州體育、青年事務及協助州長處理多元文化事務部長梅林努、維州消費者部長羅賓遜,以及眾多維州議會議員、市長,市議員。 十幾年來,由維州眾議院議員、維州州長亞洲商務特別顧問林美豐主辦的克雷頓多元文化晚會一直深受歡迎,在推動多元文化事務方面具有積極意義,已成為維州慶祝及弘揚多元文化的盛事。今年的晚會由林美豐辦公室職員-楊昶以英語、國語雙語主持;鄭毅中太平紳士提供了攝像。林美豐在歡迎辭中提到,這場年度盛宴已經成為不同種族會面、交流的機會,以及維州社團和企業與政府溝通的橋樑。他感謝一直以來支持晚會的各界人士和志願者團隊,並由衷感激對競選活動提供捐款的眾多個人和團體。 在華人社區廣受歡迎的女高音歌唱家呂楓的開場演唱後,主講嘉賓、聯邦部長克林在全場熱烈掌聲中上台作主旨發言。作為前澳洲貿易部長,克林是澳洲政壇領袖當中訪問中國次數最多的一位;在這個月吉拉德成立澳洲新內閣後,克林擔任了文化部長及地區事務部長的新職責。自從1990年入選聯邦眾議院,今年是克林第8次成功當選聯邦議員;2001年至2003年擔任工黨領袖,2007年12月至2010年6月擔任澳洲貿易部長。克林表示,他十分讚賞林美豐在推動維州多元文化發展發麵所做出的成績,並非常認同移民為澳洲經濟、文化、及社會發展所做出的巨大貢獻;對於即將在11月舉行的維州大選,他表示,由布朗比領導的維州工黨政府一向和聯邦政府精誠合作,成績斐然,如果連任,勢必為維州的發展和民眾生活帶來更多益處。 晚會在歡樂氣氛中進行,來自不同文化背景的表演嘉賓帶來了豐富多彩的節目:澳洲-緬甸協會的獨舞、猶太青年歌手Segal帶來的中文歌《天堂》、墨爾本亞匯舞蹈社表演的民族舞-《愛在人間天堂》、以及越南社區一家三口的吉他彈奏。席間,林美豐邀請克林部長及一眾維州部長分別為多年來支持多元文化的團體和個人,以及諸位表演嘉賓頒發了感謝證書。晚會由林美豐辦公室職員戴維斯、楊昶、李根、鮑晶、鄧文蝶、陳夏娜等籌劃,高朋滿座,觥籌交錯,再次展現了克雷頓區多種族和諧共處的風貌。(图左:林美丰议员, 图中:前墨尔本市长苏震西, 图右:联邦部长克林)
