THE family of a grandmother killed on a notorious stretch of Clayton road is celebrating the success of their passionate campaign for a pedestrian crossing.

VicRoads last week finally committed cash to the project, almost 12 months after Anna Tsavasilis, 79, was hit and killed by three cars while trying to cross Centre Rd.

Granddaughter Alexandra Faull was ecstatic at the announcement that funding had been “signed off” for pedestrian-operated lights at the intersection of Centre Rd and Knight St.
